Yeah, a neat thing about laser printers is that the ink won't dry out because it's *already* dry. The printer prints by *melting* it. Onto the paper. It's, like, the opposite of an inkjet.
This process does need a fair amount of power, though, seeing as how it needs to get the toner hot enough to melt. (Don't stick your hand in the machinery or it'll melt your hand too!)
