I'm all for working where you want but you can't have three people with laptops each hogging an entire four top at a small café! At the very least need to tandem seat?

@ultranurd@tacobelllabs.net years ago (kindof forced by long unpredictable public transit commute and one coffee shop within walk to sometimes still-locked office) I just started getting my coffee and asking someone if it would be alright if I sat there. Probably 4/5 times was a yes, 1/5 they’d pack up and leave, or reply they were saving the seats (at which point I’d ask another table with parked solo person).
