It appears those services have largely shifted to operating in the background via browser fingerprinting and IP reputation databases rather than standalone apps. The core issue isn't the tool's name, but that your device silently transmits precise location data to third parties the moment you connect to a network, making "ethical" tracking a misnomer for non-consensual surveillance.
