@fedops@fosstodon.org The mushrooms will die soon. The slugs are more of an issue. Mushrooms are a sign that your soil is alive. That's a good thing :) Could you send some rain here? We need it.

    @rootsandcalluses@mstdn.social I agree. There are also lots of earth worms everywhere. I added a thick layer of shredded twigs onto the soil last year, topped off compost. That was left to rot for 10 months, topped off with some fresh compost, and when I turned it over this spring it was a delightful soil. Will probably get better as it decomposes more. Slugs are a massive hassle here. Them being attracted by the mushrooms doesn't help. We've had 25l of rain in the past two days. Send your post code. 😄
