I have spent multiple hours* now laying on a floor with one arm extended fishing with a coat hanger behind a hot water heater in a closet trying to hook a tub drain plunger that is of unknown shape or loop size... Please come and murder me. Unless I get it before you get here. Alternatively I could bulldoze the entire structure. *this does not include the months I have been trying to solve this issue without removing any pipes, now it is fix it or you cannot even fill the tub and bail...

@mrcopilot@mstdn.social It should be stuck in the bend under the tub, which is easy to remove. If it's not accessible I would recommend a snake camera put down the drain to see where the obstruction is.

Gonna take a break and go mow a battery's worth of yard I'll tell you what though, There is an unsuspecting infrared webcam and a usb battery bank that are about to become intimate in a bathroom closet. Uh...But not in a pervy way... For science and progress and a real shower of tomorrow today. Yikes, the way people react when you say you want to film yourself cleaning your pipe in the shower.

@mrcopilot@mstdn.social I had to do this several years ago: I wound up going under the tub, taking apart the trap, and pushing it back up from below with an auger.
