I’m not saying it’s right to cause bodily harm to someone whose crime was mere property damage. I’m just saying police are useless for the stuff they’re “supposed” to be good for, but they’re great for maintaining the status quo. And the status quo includes several metric tons of racism among other problems.

Clarification: “I don’t know what an ideal post-abolition world would look like” but there ARE people who do, people who have devoted years or decades of their lives to studying and figuring this out and arguing for it. I simply have more to learn than I’ve learned so far, that’s all.
