There is a remark from Danielle Smith about a reporter in the video. Smith seems to think all questions from reporters should be "neutral" whatever that means. Smith has some strange ideas about how to do journalism. If the media can't ask probing or even leading questions to draw out the truth, we might as well just all pack up and go home. If there's no factual basis to back up a reporter's question, it won't go anywhere. So, no worries. Politicians have been dealing with this technique used by reporters for decades. But suddenly, Conservative premiers are making up new rules for journalism because they don't like being called out on their actions. Doug Ford said he was impressed by Smith's "neutrality" comment and he will start using it when he goes back to Ontario. I've got news for Conservative premiers. The public wants the media to be MORE direct in their questioning, not less. #media #journalism
