@cato@chaosfurs.social @uvok@woof.tech @sequentialsnep@meow.social depends on how you order them (if the board house allows you to choose). stencil the same size as the board is commonly used for hand assembly (so they can be mounted in a v-groove clamp stacked together), while oversized stencils are usually made for machine assembly, since the paste robot needs somewhere outside the board area to hold the stencil in a stretch frame.

@WooShell@chaosfurs.social @uvok@woof.tech @sequentialsnep@meow.social I can't imagine how you'd clamp the board and stencil together while still leaving the top surface free for the squeegee? Except if you have lots of space between board edge and any components
