Per irina's link, this is a VERY longstanding pattern with this developer. I'm surprised GNU doesn't have some kind of naming policy to prevent this behaviour. It reflects very poorly on them.

Considering Richard Stalman, who has credible accusations of misconduct levied against him (I don't remember exactly what and don't care enough to look it up), is still heavily involved in FSF, honestly, I feel like FSF, GNU, and anything they are heavily involved in is toxic at this point
