  This whole bullshit of "Datacenters using renewable electricity" is just that, bullshit. The idea we're looking at is opportunity cost. Sure, if a grid is 25% renewable, someone might claim that datacenter is 25% renewable. However, if that datacenter uses 10 megawatts, sure, we could use that 10 megawatts to power that datacenter. OR, we could use the 10 megawatts it draws to reduce the production of fossil-fuel based electricity.
