@rrb@infosec.exchange @spaf@mstdn.social Yup. Look at https://www.cs.columbia.edu/~smb/classes/f23/l_ml.pdf, some intro slides for my old anonymity and privacy seminar, and note how many times I had to use the word "bias", sometimes in a statistical sense and sometimes in a legal sense.

@SteveBellovin@infosec.exchange @spaf@mstdn.social I guess if your world view is that bias does not exist and is only used to disadvantage men and white people, destroying math is a small price to pay.
