Consider https://www.science.org/content/article/africans-carry-surprising-amount-neanderthal-dna and https://www.johnhawks.net/p/a-shorter-sharper-out-of-africa-story — if you only look at white European DNA, you'll get a very bad understanding of human evolution. There are various genetically-linked diseases that are more concentrated in some specific populations, e.g., Tay-Sachs in Ashkenazi Jews. If you don't ensure that your sample set is broadly representative—among other things, that means statistically unbiased—you'll get bad answers.
