@jeff@noxon.cc have you considered swapping out capacitors? A $0.10 component failure is often the cause of a failed control board and a $1000 appliance. In Mexico you'd find someone who could fix the board.

@nelson@tech.lgbt it's potted in about 8mm of epoxy, so I don't consider it self-serviceable. The caps haven't vented, but it did cross my mind. I've had so many cap failures in electronics recently.
