@cwilcox808@c.im I'd say the fact people abuse tags to the degree that they do kinda necessitates this change. href-less links may very well not be tabable, may not show up in screenreader link lists, etc. if no href is detected and it can cause all sorts of other weirdness. A proficient computer user can usually course correct to compensate but this wreaks absolute havoc on people who aren't all that proficient
