@Hex@kolektiva.social Well, the "AI" scanned three of my books without asking permission. I am privileged in that I don't depend on royalties for survival, but some (many? most?) authors do.

@Hex@kolektiva.social I was kind of thinking about this today. Back in the AIM days I had my own chatbot built off of Smarterchild and I loved that work. It was my introduction to programming. In 2015/2016 there was that really brief time where people got really into chatbots again, and I had fun with that. I’ve always been interested in AI and robots, since I was a kid. But more so, as an adult when seeing the first Ironman movie…I didn’t gaf about anything but Jarvis haha. I wanted that.
