The 85 mm width exposes the dates at the edges of my diary pages, and having them punched both sides means that I can transfer them from week to week, and always have the working side facing the current week.
The clear ruler allows me to immediately open to the current week, and doesn't obscure anything behind it. It's also a good ruler. Actually, I have four Filofax page marker/rulers: two clear, and two black.
I also use a Month on Two Pages Diary, as a long-term planning calendar.

The other clear page marker goes in the Mo2P diary, and lets me flip to the current month. The two black page markers allow me to flip to my current place in my business and personal notes sections. Being able to see through those is less critical, and if I could, I'd swap those out for stainless steel examples. Too bad I don't own a water jet cutter and laser engraver.
