I am going to need security bloggers who clearly understand why the AI-in-everything push is a problem to stop using diffuser-generated images to illustrate their every single fucking article. @HauntedOwlbear@eldritch.cafe What's odd to me is that people seem to have forgotten you can alter pictures really very quickly to make them cartoonish, or to fit the concept. I mean take St Jerome there. Pair of googly eyes and he just looks like he's stunned by something because he's read the manual for Inkscape. that takes six, maybe eight seconds. Whereas diffusion art.. they're just going click gen again and again till they go "ack, that'll do"

@HauntedOwlbear@eldritch.cafe I subedit for an online mag and I use a lot of Pixabay, Unsplash etc free photo libraries - it's not totally AI free but it should be easy to tell and give appropriate credit. Also Flickr, most users make their stuff available. Wikimedia Commons ftw.

Or - I’m taking this literally - Diderot’s Encyclopedie? Lots of topics, lots of images. Big love for Dürer’s Great Turf but not sure how I’d tie it to infosec. Maybe because it isn’t tied to infosec… @HauntedOwlbear@eldritch.cafe
