It doesn't help that the sound set of the language he switches to is exactly the same as English with his GenAm accent, which means that it doesn't sound like a real language, it sounds like simlish.

The closest thing I've encountered in real life to a person speaking like that has been weebs putting inserting Japanese words into English sentences, which... we do not have time to unpack completely. But even then, they're doing it as part of a subculture in which those words are understood. Marius is just one guy mixing in foreign words that literally none of the people around him use.
