I will need context to give me understanding. I want people to help me give me context. There sre memetic structures that percolate across time. The memes of the occidental decentralized empire are long-standing and exist outside of text. They are transmitted primarily by oral tradition. And music, obviously.

D&C 132:54 was written by Joseph Smith. In it he says that “God” told him that Emma will be destroyed if she doesn’t “cleave unto” (spread her legs for) Joseph. If someone is being coerced with violence, the relationship can’t be consensual. The only possible conclusions are either: a) Joseph was lying, using the concept of a God as a cudgel to threaten women who won’t sleep with him, or b) Joseph was telling the truth, and the Mormon god is a rapist who threatens women for not performing sexual acts for his chosen.
