@JustinMac84@mastodon.social I personally prefer the book. Both films corrupt the original ending. Not to mention, the CIA funded the 1954 version

@closeted_unionist@mastodon.social I wonder why they funded it. Hmm. I just wanna see the different interpretations. The thing I'm not loving about the 50s version so far is that the contention of the fil seems to be that bad things happen because of individual temperament rather than ther pernitious corruption of power. Seems to say if only Napoleon and Squealer hadn't been around things would have been better.
