First time very-long-range #driving an #EV:
* charged to 100% for free (solar/PV) over the last 3 days, before departing
* charging stations are surprisingly simple yet awesome tech
* the UI/UX sucks as much as that of petrol stations 🙄
* ABRP for planning upfront: 1 minute to do it, zero range anxiety
* costs for quick charging are slightly lower than petrol
* hotels usually offer free charging with the parking ticket
* EV is so much smoother
So far, everything feels like an upgrade.

@ocramius@mastodon.social In the UK quick charging is in the range of 1.00-1.20 euro per kWh, making EV's not very economical for long distance, unless you've got someone else picking up the bill...
