@DionRa@kind.social That's so strange! Have you had a chance to test joining the same server on a web-based irc client to see if the server is just weird somehow?

@Sharksonaplane@mastodon.sandwich.net server's fine, i uninstalled that client and tried another one (the one that said server recommended in fact) and everything works now! still don't know what the hell that was about though
