Its enjoyable to encounter an English word that I have never seen before. It happened today. Do you know, without looking it up, what a "placket" is? Sometimes spelled "placquet". Feel free to boost. And, without revealing the actual answer, feel free to suggest likely meanings :-)

@kauer@aus.social I think I know the German word, and I have a general idea what the meaning might be, but I don't know. If I should describe it, a "Plakette" would be something hard that has words and/or signs on it that have meaning. Kinda like a roadsign, but I think its smaller. Maybe something similar to a medal or brooch? Or something like if the stars in the walk of fame were metal squares instead of stone stars. Sorry, I'm just waking up and I have brain-fog from a PAIS.
