I couldn’t find any real indication that open loop payments are being worked on or even meaningfully put on a timeline for contactless debit/credit. Is that the case on the ground? One of the few comparable regions not even having it on the 2-3 year plan.

@jeremyburge They’re working on payments by bank card for the Montréal region. But that’s further out. The fare valuation equipment should already be open payment-capable, except on commuter rail; they were replaced in 2020. However, the backend systems and prob. processes (multizone networks with no tapout) still need updating.
