Serious question: do most companies just make up work for their developers?
Just heard of the ridiculous number of deploys Spotify does every day… it’s a music app released in 2008! What more could it possibly need?!
It feels like most places just make up work for developers to do; because they can’t stand the idea that the devs they pay could be paid to only maintain and maybe not work every second of their lives. #programming

@QueerMatters@mstdn.social I looked it up and saw 4500, it seems excessive even if counting each commit as a release. I wonder if they just have a ton of integrations to maintain, like ones to let labels upload music. :thinking_cirno:
