RE: https://mastodon.world/@jeremyburge/116108542985619470 Thanks for the feedback so far, fixed: -Express Transit Mode for Lyon, Added Ottawa (credit/debit, but notExpress Mode) Some themes: - Lack of consistent passenger-friendly terminology makes this sort of thing difficult to convey - Apple Wallet Transit Card has implied/default Express Mode, but the same city likely doesn't support it for debit/credit cards - Edge cases eg Shenzhen - Apple Wallet integration, but only for local bank cards. Tourists need a plastic card/Alipay/WeChat Pay

Most importantly, there's thousands of cities not listed, primarily with bus networks which may or may not support contactless tap & ride. I think I'll hold off on those for a while, until ensuring the existing larger cities and metros are covered and accurate, with sufficient means to keep the info accurate and up to date. As more cities add open loop payments, the number of edge cases may (eventually) go down. Maybe one day it will be the opposite - which cities DON'T support contactless.

@jeremyburge I have 4 tiny corrections :-) And … yes, it’s whole mess! Vancouver: Interac is not listed as a valid method ‘pill’. It’s there textually. Ottawa: It’s also valid on O-Train Line 4. Line 3 is being built. Montréal: The entry is also valid for exo Commuter Trains Laval: Not valid on the metro. That service is owned by Montréal and follows Montréal’s systems.

@jeremyburge A data error for Philly. A SEPTA Key (our physical card) can't be added to Apple Wallet. We have a separate digital wallet fare app, but that's going away next month.
