people who migrated from twitter post-2022 might remember an account called big serge, with a handle of witte_sergei, a smug motherfucker persona spewing russian propaganda, anti-ukrainian hate and, to the surprise of no-one, right-wing and nazi tropes. the success of the twitter account was followed by branching to popular nazi-financed and nazi-financing blog aggregator substack, and media appearances on rabidly racist and anti-ukrainian podcasts like “russians with attitude” as the investigatewest website reported recently, the big serge persona was driven by one sam wolkenhauer, a decade-long employee of the idaho department of labor.
