Given that, it's quite amazing that I was able to write several apps for it when I was in highschool, including a currency converter, just by looking at some example code that came with the SDK. #retrocomputing

I've just powered it on for the first time in 20 years or so. And it still works! I'll start up a VM with Windows 98 (apparently there is also an open source SDK for linux but many websites from the era are no longer up) and see if I can get write some new software for it now that I am finally good at writing C code. Maybe I can port REBOUND? #retrocomputing #opensource
