@Techaltar@mas.to @notjustbikes@social.notjustbikes.com I am willing to believe it's more of a outdated opinion in the nuclear side, because at one point, I think it was pretty reasonable argument and people aren't known to update their opinions too often. But I also imagine it's also easy way for anti-renewable grifters to jump in. With transit? I don't think maglevs ever were much else than a research project (though I'd still love for them to get more research priority). And the Shanghai maglev is pretty cool even though it isn't really showing off the best the tech has to offer.
