He apparently got a pretty penny for a VHS player in perfect, as-new condition as well. Which is a bit random considering it's a discontinued standard, but I suppose to someone who also has a large and cherished VHS tape collection gathering dust, that's still valuable. 🤷🏻♂️

@ApostateEnglishman@mastodon.world I totally have a great VHS that I will never ditch because you *never know* when you’ll need one. It was a great choice. I will add, a good cassette deck or minidisc player. Those are actually valuable now.

@ApostateEnglishman@mastodon.world @suzannealdrich@hachyderm.io Many people still collect VHS tapes. I have a couple if VHS players and about 700 tapes that I still watch. I plan on watching Burt Reynolds in Gator tonight. I picked up a new unopened tape of Mask with Cher today at a thrift store.
