Results of my cardboard scrounging last night. Two loads. I didn't plan it this way, but I think I benefited from going out on the next recycling day after Prime Day.
I will say that my neighbors in my housing development are better at flattening boxes than my neighbors a little further away.
After removing as much tape as I can, I'll lay this down and cover with a thick layer of woodchips to help suppress weeds and vines in the back yard. Then plant with natives. #ReUse #Recycle #Gardening

@dbaplanb@mastodon.sdf.org And you are going to pollute your environment with all the chemicals in cardboard? In Germany it is forbidden to put it into the green waste bin because they make compost of it. Cardboard contains: - Plasticizer - adhesives - Biocides against animal pests - anti-mold agents - PFAS - Printing inks can contain substances that are hazardous to health - Additives such as binders https://www. sonjas-gartenfreuden.de/beet-mit-pappe-anlegen/
