What if, and hear me out on this, we would put in the effort to make all the code "boilerplate code" AND freely available under a free-for-any-use permit? Developers (including everyone just doing programming stuff) could actually get to work on the problems where intelligence is needed. Something like a library where all the functions that every dev has written a thousand times, are freely available and commented and tweaked to perfection by the community. Something mixing a wiki, a git repo, and the Lego concept. Apropos of nothing, but whatever happened to the Medieval Craft Guilds?
