#SimulatedUniverses a movie showing the development over time of injected cosmic ray electrons by three different mechanisms, color-coded in different ways: a) blue=cosmic rays from star formation b) red=from shocks c) green=from active galactic nuclei. In reality these relativistic particles are very hard to observe, and it's impossible to know their origin, but with simulations we can refine theoretical ideas.
