I always buy a proper lunar calendar so I know when the phases are … I find theirs fascinating as generally they map on to ours remarkably well.

@jackyan@mastodon.social ah! Yes, we're using different calendars. The one I follow tracks Matariki rising during the 3/4 moon phase, not the new moon phase. So the month starts with the new moon but celebrations, observatiins, ceremonies, happen later.
