@jfmezei@cosocial.ca The hotel for Singapore is booked. Will be staying outside of downtown for more comfort and to cut costs. The train only takes a half hour to get downtown.

@Milnoc@mstdn.ca East coast of Taiwan is very scenic and there is no train service to the south. West coast (facing China) is more industrialized. Kaohsiung is the larger city. You'll have to do reasearch to find out if there is anything to visit there. You could do like Miles in Transit and ride train around island. But to me, what was special was stoping at some roadside store and try to interact to buy drinks. Suggest you learn numbers in chinese. You'll hear price of food/drinks in chinese
