lots of well-intentioned trans people and cis allies keep trying to explain the autism/transness correlation away and tbh i think thats a bad move. so i'll just say it
i don't know if autism causes higher rates of transness or vice versa and i dont care. autistic people are people and are able to make decisions about themselves and their bodies. it doesnt matter if autism "causes" transness or if transness "causes" autism the same way it doesnt matter if transness is a mental illness.
all people deserve full autonomy, and any argument that doesnt address that will just lead to yet another different transphobic "transgenerizm is caused by..." argument. full autonomy for all is the only way we get shit done!
