Not all matrix multiplications are emitting equally.
Be efficient with your compute, and use low-carbon compute.
Greenpeace: "Data center operations in Europe are significantly more climate-friendly than in other regions of the world, such as the U. S. or China.
The European average of 263 g CO2e / kWhIT contrasts with significantly higher national figures, such as in the U.S. (414 g) or in carbon-intensive markets like China (695 g) and India (900 g).”

Amazon and Google greenhouse gas emissions are growing significantly faster than revenue. Google’s total carbon emissions are up 25% since last year, Amazon’s are up 16% (but has a higher baseline). https://techcrunch.com/2026/07/02/a-warning-sign-about-ais-real-cost-courtesy-of-google-and-amazon/
