@MatWright@mastodon.social The other piece I read mentioned a significant language barrier between rescuers and three of the rescued. None of them had life jackets. It also mentioned that the captain was known within the chartering community. The other charters know that the captain's dead, but I suspect they are being interviewed separately. The run-in with fisheries also indicates that there's other paperwork to cross-reference. A bunch of non-english speakers, right near a border. All crammed into a boat, not wearing life jackets? I expect the authorities assume that something else is going on here, we are specifically getting only a subset of the information because everything else is under investigation.
