My oldest loves reading. We worked with him on reading for a while, kept at it, then one day his interest sky rocketed like a tech bro’s expected revenue graph. It’s great, I’m proud!
I found myself wondering if I could turn him on to any books I’ve loved. Nothing too big, but a classic paperback would be perfect. Terry Pratchett’s Disc World Series came to mind. So I grabbed one to reread before suggesting it. Alas! More sex jokes than I remembered. They’re tame, but more than he can handle.

@preinheimer@phpc.social Without knowing the age of your oldest, I’ll say “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy” is a must for nerd offspring. The Chronicles of Narnia series. Anne of Green Gables is a wholesome story.
