Several years back, the guitar industry experienced a wave of 'relicing'. New guitars made to look like aged, road-worn and hard-handled machines. People paid biiiig bucks for guitars that looked well-played.
As an artist, I'll say when good work is done, it's good work.
I had that in-mind thinking about other stuff people might pay to trick themselves, but mostly others, into thinking they had achieved.
And I only realized people will lie about absolutely everything if it's easier.

@GGMcBG@mstdn.plus See also: pre-stressed jeans. I'm sorry, but jeans are expensive enough. I don't wat a pair that's half worn out before I even buy it. I am more than capable of doing that myself.
