I remember during Trump's first run the Conservative Dad class was all "I'm voting for him because he's a businessman and that means he understands how to fix the economy." And Trump is hardly the only or even the first person to appeal to Conservative Dads in this specific way. But by now can we just put the idea to bed? Turns out knowing how to get wealth for yourself is literally the opposite of knowing how to make sure that everyone else can get access to wealth.
