Just so y'all know...
The federal govt just increased the cost for permanent residents leaving the country.
Not by a few hundred dollars.. but by 300%.
Overnight, on 1 July, the cost for an RRV (resident return visa) went from $490 to $1475.
This visa expires every 5 years. 🙃
So fuck you if you have family overseas I guess.

I would take up dual citizenship in a heartbeat if Singapore allowed it. But it doesn't. So here we are. I work here, own a business, pay taxes (personal and business 🙃), provide jobs for Australians... But fuck me if I want to see my family once every couple of years. 🤷
