Last night the big parasol broke, one the arms snapped at the pivot point. I was going to dump it (over 10yrs old) But I looked at the break and had an idea. I had some aluminium tubing left over from the veg netting frames, so I bashed it into a rhomboid shape. it fitted into the hollow arm perfectly. A couple of rivets and a long bolt from the bits box and it is fine again.
