If anyone is brave enough to give it a shot, https://github.com/sonicretro/s1disasm here's the Sonic 1 disassembly. Main branch uses AS; ASM68K is in another branch. This disassembly would be the best choice for such an experiment as there is support for two different assemblers already, and IIRC the AS branch doesn't use too much AS-specific stuff (unlike Sonic 2/3K which make heavy use of quick branching)
