So, we didn’t have PR cards back in my day… so nothing to give in in exchange. And they gave us our citizenship certificate (which was green and has your picture on it… stuck forever on!)
And absolutely nothing from our MP or MLA.

@EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca I imagine had the ceremony been in person, I’d have received the certificate at the event. But as it was I had to trust Canada Post to deliver it safely 🫣 It’s definitely optional for your MP or MNA to reach out or organise something. I’m glad mine did.
