I mean, I *think* this is a well known trick in the Shortcuts community? But if you’re adding custom icons to your Homescreen to launch apps, adding the “Nothing” action first prevents a Shortcuts notification from showing when you launch it. #Shortcuts #Apple #iOS #iPadOS #iPhone

I’ll give them credit this time for reporting timely updates online. But it sounds that in every other respect the management of this disruption was an unmitigated disaster. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the CDPQ get rid of Pulsar and give the contract to someone else. https://www.ctvnews.ca/montreal/article/montreal-rem-train-loses-power-mid-route-forcing-evacuations-on-track/

RE: https://mstdn.ca/@MTL_Transit_Status_en/116851340048573215 Has anyone heard when the REM is coming back up? I actually need to use it later this evening, and the website shows “undefined” as the service restoration time. According to a post on X (why the hell can’t transit authorities get off that platform?) there was an update due at 10am, but I don’t see any news, nor an actual explanation for the outage. It’s not even clear to me if some trains are running over the affected section, or...

Day off, so naturally I’m spending my free time judiciously¹ by trying out the new airport bus link between Des Sources on the REM and YUL. Let’s see how it stacks up against the 747 bus. 🧵 #Montreal #transit ____ ¹ I know I know. It’s just that if I don’t do it now I’ll probably never get round to it, and then it’ll be gone when the REM’s airport branch opens.
