We've been watching veggie prices at farmer's markets so that we have a sense of what folks are charging as we start selling our own stuff in the next week or two. (So we don't unintentionally undersell others or ourselves, or charge way too much.) But one vendor that was selling some backyard kale and radishes alongside their main business was selling their kale per leaf. PER LEAF! Never seen that before. 25 cents each! Was cracking me up.

  • What we've learned so far is that... prices are all over the map, and there aren't a lot of dedicated produce vendors right now. May still be too early, but I'm wondering if the area lost one or two. Which makes us feel less self-conscious about showing up with a smaller table next week... Might be an easier sell than expected.
