If bots are running the #stockmarket with no grip on reality, well, it's no wonder the #AI bubble is so huge.

@cyberlyra@hachyderm.io Bots have been running the stockmarket for decades, algorithmic trading is all just bots betting against each other in microseconds. Somethings in life are just as stupid and insane as they sound.

@cyberlyra@hachyderm.io It’s not just bots. I’ve been talking to investors a moderate amount for the last couple of years. The ones that actually employ someone who understands the technology and business models for the companies that they invest in exist (and we try hard to find them to invest in us) but they’re surprisingly rare.
