You have always known how to deliver. That is not the problem. The problem is that delivering has never been enough, not for long, not in the way you needed it to be. You hit the number and they moved the number. You met the standard and they raised the standard. You did what was asked and found out what was asked was a floor, not a finish line. What you were never asked, what no one in your life had the framework to ask, is whether any of it was contribution.
