If we fight this BS, Iris' optimism will not be unfounded. The current backlash against the trans community (and feminism and racial equality and human rights in general) is pretty recent. But we have to keep reminding folks of what that good society looks like so that they don't forget...

@Bishopjoey@writing.exchange We also have to remind people of the following: Authoritarian Regimes always burn themselves out, because like an Ouroboros they simply eat themselves. All we have to do is keep applying pressure, reminding people of our collective history and strength, and fight for the change we wish to see. Fortunately we do have some organisations that are also willing and able to take governments to court to help achieve this!
